The Troubadours Of Divine Bliss will be performing a free concert on the Ferdinand Library Patio on Saturday, September 11 at 6:00pm. The Troubadours of Divine Bliss (Aim Me and Renee) have been award winning musicians for over two decades. The Troubadours have 7 recordings, with an eighth in the works. They are spiritual, environmental, and social justice activists who sing of the Love that springs from within, respect for the Earth, human rights and healing the heart. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the evening. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved into the Library Community Room.
The Ferdinand Library will be celebrating International Dot Day on Wednesday, September 15. International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. Inspired by ‘The Dot’ book, the Children’s Room will be open for all ages to make their mark decorating dots, creating art, playing, etc. Patrons are welcome to wear something with dots as well. Stop by the Library and make your mark between 9am and 8pm.

Kasey Fire Dogs will be at the Ferdinand Library on Saturday, 9/4 at 1:30pm to teach children fire safety skills. No registration required.
Purdue Extension of Dubois County will be presenting a free three-part workshop: “Empower Me To Be Clutter Free!’ on Wednesdays, 9/8, 9/15 and 9/29 from 1:30-2:30pm. The workshop has proven techniques and practical advice to share. Registration required at www.jdcpl.us or calling 812.367.1671
An Angel Mounds Representative will be presenting an Artifact Program on Saturday, 9/11 at 2:00pm. Mark your calendar and plan to attend.
Storytime for Littles is held every Thursday in August at 10am and again at 11. No registration required.
An Adult Craft class will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 6pm. Participants will be making a wooden photo display item. Register on the website, www.jdcpl.us or call 812.367.1671
Teen are invited to come to the Library Young Adult Room on Mondays after school to participate in ‘Motivation Mondays’ where they’ll receive something to eat, something to do or something to enjoy! There will be free pizza available on 9/20. Creative Corner will be held every Tuesday after school as well. No registration required.
Ferdinand Library welcomes the public to join them for National Clean Up Day on September 18. The worldwide goal is to collect 1 billion cigarette butts from off the ground. Cigarette butts are mostly made of plastic and are the biggest littered item in the world. It is estimated that by the year 2030, there will be more cigarette butts in the oceans than fish. The Library has free plastic gloves available and would like you to let them know how many cigarette butts you collected and disposed of.
