Ferdinand-area man arrested after rollover crashJune 23, 2014

HUNTINGBURG — The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man who overturned the pickup truck he was driving Sunday night southeast of Huntingburg.
Nicholas A. Jochem, 22, of 11444 S. 100W, Ferdinand, was southbound on County Road 75W in a 2007 Ford F-150 when the 10:47 p.m. crash occurred just north of Ferdinand Road Northwest.
Jochem told deputies he lost control of the truck when he crested a hill and hit loose gravel.
Police said the truck overturned and stopped on its side on the west side of County Road 75W.
Jochem said he climbed out and walked to a friend’s house to call 911.
Deputies determined Jochem was impaired with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent.
After being medically cleared at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Jochem was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 1 a.m. today on a misdemeanor count of drunken driving.
The crashed totaled the truck.
The Huntingburg Police Department assisted.
