FERDINAND — An altercation between two men that turned physical and led to injury resulted in an arrest early Sunday.
The Ferdinand Police Department was dispatched at 12:16 a.m. and told to contact security at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center after a patient in the emergency room was reported as being treated for a possible stab wound to his arm.
Police investigated the altercation with injury and arrested Wesley A. Baker, 41, 633 W. Ninth St., Ferdinand.
Authorities booked Baker into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:14 a.m. on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony attempted battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery resulting in bodily injury and intimidation.
Ferdinand police said the incident is still under investigation.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police assisted.
