Fender-bender results in damages
August 3, 2020From Local Sources
FERDINAND — A fender-bender at the Old National Bank in Ferdinand, 1155 Main St., resulted in estimated damages of around $1,000 around noon Saturday.
According to a press release from the town's police department, Mackenzie R. James, 25, Ferdinand, believed that she had set her parking break in the bank’s drive-thru teller line, but apparently she had not pulled it hard enough, and her 2010 Toyota Corolla rolled forward and struck a 2013 Chevy Malibu — driven by Sheila M. Hagedorn, 53, Santa Claus — from behind, causing minor damage.
James was faulted for following too closely. No injuries were reported from the crash and both drivers were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Damage to Hagedorn’s car was estimated to be around $1,000.
