From Local Sources
FERDINAND — Police say no tickets were issued after an SUV-versus-pickup truck collision Monday afternoon at the CVS Pharmacy parking lot at 20 Industrial Park Drive.
Joseph E. Mullis, 87, St. Meinrad, was backing up in a 2016 Buick Encore at the time of the 12:59 p.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police say Mullis failed to see a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that was parked behind his SUV. The truck was owned by Bryce A. Denning, 27, Ferdinand.
The Mullis Buick struck the brush guard on the front of the Denning Silverado, according to police.
Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the Mullis Buick, while the Denning Chevrolet did not appear to have sustained damage.
Authorities placed Mullis at fault but did not issue a citation.
No one was injured.
