FERDINAND — Damage was limited in a Sunday fender-bender that occurred in the McDonald’s parking lot at 25 Industrial Park Road.
Irene Greulich, 80, St. Meinrad, was pulling her 2015 Subaru SUV into a parking space at the time of the 10:50 a.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police said an occupant of an already parked 2002 Ford van driven by Thomas M. Anderson, 55, Winslow, opened the van’s front passenger door to exit as Greulich’s vehicle came into its parking space.
The door made contact with the Subaru’s front fender, with damage to the SUV estimated at $1,000.
Police said the van did not appear to have been damaged and the accident was believed to have been a mutual-fault incident.
There were no injuries and no citations.
Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
