Felon accused of trying to buy gun

JASPER — Information that a man convicted of a felony was attempting to purchase a gun via social media resulted in an arrest Tuesday.
After investigating the complaint, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office took Damien K. Wigodinski, 21, 257 Brucke Strasse, Jasper, into custody at the Dubois County Community Corrections Center.
Authorities booked Wigodinski into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:09 p.m. on a preliminary Level 4 felony count of attempted possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
