Explore how to group fruit in yardFebruary 20, 2020
FERDINAND — Purdue Extension will be hosting a two-hour class to explore growing fruit for homeowner or non-commercial use from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ferdinand Public Library, 112 E. 16th St.
Fruit crops are popular garden plants, but are becoming less commonly grown. They take space, patience and willingness to learn how to properly prune, train and manage pests. The best advice given to folks is that they give fruit production serious consideration, whether berries, brambles or trees.
There is no charge to attend this event, but needed registration for materials is available on-line at http://www.cvent.com/d/tnq7xz or by contacting the Purdue Extension-Dubois County office at 812-482-1782.
