Event marks end of county’s bicentennial celebration

ROCKPORT — Spencer County’s yearlong bicentennial celebration is set to come to an end at the end of the year, and to mark the historic occasion, a closing ceremony will be held in the rotunda of Spencer County’s Courthouse at 1 p.m. CT Monday. The courthouse is located at 200 Main St. in Rockport.

Indiana’s Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, as well as other local, regional, and state dignitaries and representatives are scheduled to attend.

The event, hosted by Think Lincoln, is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
