DUBOIS — A wrecker was needed Sunday after an SUV made contact with a utility pole west of the Dubois Crossroads.
India F. Clay, 24, Jasper, was westbound on State Road 56 in a 2009 Dodge Nitro when the 3:17 a.m. accident occurred west of County Road 325E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Clay said she was trying to avoid an animal she saw in the roadway when her SUV went off the north side of the highway and side-swiped a utility pole.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
