Ethel Nettie Crowe, 95, French LickApril 23, 2019
Ethel Nettie Crowe, 95, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2019, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.
She was born in Orange County on January 23, 1924, to Ralph and Maggie (McFarland) Brown. Ethel married James L. Crowe on July 26, 1941, and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1971.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dovie Anderson, Bessie Wilson and Gladys Prow; one daughter, Dianne Meredith; and one brother, Homer Brown.
Ethel was a witness at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and worked at the Springs Valley Bank and Trust for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, flowers, watching the birds, reading, cooking and spending time with family.
Ethel is survived by four sons, Richard Crowe Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Jim Crowe French Lick, Randy Crowe Jeffersonville, and Larry Crowe French Lick; two daughters, Karen Sizemore Georgetown, and Jeanne Capehart Clarksville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in French Lick.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Service in French Lick.
