Englert receives full-tuition scholarship

Jared Englert, a 2019 graduate of Jasper High School, has received the Bernard Vonderschmitt Scholarship to attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Vonderschmitt Award is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship. He also will be playing basketball while attending Rose-Hulman.

While in high school, Englert was a National Honor Society recipient and an Advanced-Placement scholar. He was nominated for football homecoming king. He was a captain of the basketball team, which won the 4A sectional this year. He was named to the Big Eight All-Conference team, Indiana Basketball Association Senior All-State honorable mention and Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State honorable mention. He received the Wendy’s MPF Most Valuable Player Award at his team’s awards banquet.

Englert will be studying computer engineering at Rose-Hulman. He is the son of Glen and Judy Englert.
