Emily A. Durcholz and Evan M. Olinger exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. June 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Father Christoper Droste officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Annette Durcholz of Brazil. The groom is the son of Kevin and Mary Sue Olinger of St Anthony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Macy Webster of Terre Haute. The bride chose as her bridesmaids Shelby Olinger of St. Anthony, sister of the groom; Aubree Olinger of Huntingburg, sister-in-law of the couple; Haleigh Randall of Cincinnati, friend of the bride; and junior bridesmaid Lila Seger of Jasper, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Cecelia Becher of Ferdinand, cousin of the groom.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Kade Olinger of Huntingburg. The groom chose friends as his groomsmen: Lynk Kordes and Von Buechler of Ferdinand, Collin Wollenmann of Terre Haute and Noah Klem of Louisville. The ring bearer was Oliver Vogler of Georgetown, cousin of the bride.
The bride wore an A-line wedding dress by Chic Nostalgia. The dress featured a swirling modern lace pattern, butterfly hem, feminine spaghetti straps and plunging open back design.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Steve McCullough and vocalist Elizabeth Maurey, both of Brazil. The ushers were Miles Leonard of Ferdinand and Ben Weyer of Jasper, friends of the groom.
A reception was held on Sept. 26 at Klubhaus 61 of Jasper with music provided by DJ Randy Weber of Evansville.
The bride graduated from Northview High School in Brazil in 2011 and from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in legal studies in 2018. She is a paralegal for Fisher Construction Law firm in Columbus, Ohio. The groom graduated from Forest Park High School in 2012 and from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and minor in supply chain management in 2019. He is an industrial engineer for Xylem Inc. in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
The couple plans to take a honeymoon trip to South America next year. They reside in Columbus, Ohio.
