Elsie M. Webber, 88, Jasper, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born in Shoals on Nov. 7, 1925, to George and Margaret (Hemmerlein) Bauernfiend. She married Howard Joseph Webber on June 19, 1947, in St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee. He died March 24, 1994.
Surviving are six daughters, Brenda Donofrio and husband Dan of Newburgh, Donna Slathar and husband Howard of Austin, Texas, Anita Hedinger and husband Keith, Paula Getzin and husband Eric and Lauri Ackerman and husband Bret of Jasper, and Teresa Boyd of Evansville; two sons, Doug Webber and wife Margaret and David “Slick” Webber and wife Adrienne of Indianapolis; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jane Webber; four sisters, Evelyn Cooper, Arnetta Wininger, Gladys Jones and Josephine Harder; and three brothers, Leo, Norman and Elvis Bauernfiend.
Mrs. Webber was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. She enjoyed playing golf.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
