Elden ‘Drexell’ Jackman, 91, French LickSeptember 21, 2018
Elden “Drexell” Jackman, 91, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.
He was born in Martin County to Merl and Gertrude “Hawkins” Jackman on November 18, 1926.
Drexell married Ruth Wininger on September 7, 1947, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2012.
Drexell was employed at Texas Eastern from 1950 to 1985 when he retired as station operator.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; three sisters; and one son, Doug.
Drexell is survived by one son, Dan Jackman (Karen), French Lick; one daughter, Susie Jackman, French Lick; one daughter-in-law, Deborah (Knabel) Jackman, Venice, Florida; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Neil Kenyon at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick, with interment following in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick.
Friends may call Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Monday, September 24 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Service in French Lick.
