Edward J. "Ed" Mundy, 77, Jasper
September 29, 2020Edward J. "Ed" Mundy, age 77, of Jasper, Indiana, and a long time resident of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 11:48 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at home.

Ed was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on November 27, 1942, to Joseph J. and Anna (Merter) Mundy. Ed married his wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Mendel on July 21, 1962, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Ed was a professional carpenter, woodworker, cabinet-maker, and craftsman.
He was a member of St. Isidore Parish - St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana.
He and his wife loved camping, hiking, and enjoyed the state parks and great outdoors.
Surviving are his wife Mary Lou Mundy, Jasper, IN, one son, Steven (Connie) Mundy, Jasper, IN, one sister, Mary Mundy, a Sister of Providence, Evansville, IN, one brother, Linus (Michaelene) Mundy, Jasper, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is one sister, Donna Denu.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edward J. "Ed" Mundy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020, in St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service time at the church on Thursday. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Memorial contributions to the St. Isidore Parish, Parkinson's Foundation, the Sisters of Providence, or to St. Mary of the Woods.
