October 7, 2019Edgar G. Matheis, 90, of Louisville, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019, at UT Medical Center.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was retired for the last 28 years and enjoyed fixing anything and everything for anyone.
Preceded in death by his son, David Matheis; grandson, Russell Hunt; parents; brother and sister.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Betty; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Linda Matheis; daughters and son-in-law, Ruth and William Hunt, Marisa Matheis, and Julie Bentz; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters.
Family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019, in the Smith Chapel, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, Tennessee, with graveside service and entombment to follow at 1 p.m. at Grandview Mausoleum.
