Earth Day Shred Day deemed a success

By Herald Staff

The inaugural Earth Day Shred Day event held on April 22 by Kimball International's Recycling Center and the Dubois County Solid Waste Management District was a success, with 4,389 pounds of documents brought in for secure on-site shredding and recycling. This adds up to over a thousand pounds of paper per hour.

The Kimball International recycling staff is considering other shred day events in partnership with the solid waste management district, so keep an eye and ear out for future events.

Upcoming shredding events in Dubois County include one held by Dubois REC in August and by the Jasper Chamber in October.
