Dutch-American Friendship Day setApril 2, 2019
HOLLAND — The Dutch-American Friendship Day will be held Saturday, April 13, at The Commons.
Kids’ games and prizes will be played from 9 to 11 a.m. Prairie Farms will hold a dedication of Holland Prairie at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the town hall. On the menu will be hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips and ice cream. Coffee cakes also will be for sale.
Dutch-American Friendship Day celebrates the first nation to recognize the United States as a nation — the Netherlands. President Ronald Reagan signed legislation establishing the day.
