Dubois swim records fall on Senior NightJanuary 28, 2020

The Dubois County Herald has the lowdown on other prep action in the area Tuesday night.
Northeast Dubois 109, Vincennes Lincoln 46: The Jeeps won 11 events on the evening, rolling to a win against the Alices on Senior Night. Senior Night provided a record-breaking evening for two of the seniors, Colby Stafford and Trenton Harrison, who set a new school record in the 400 freestyle relay, along with juniors Lorenzo Vaiardi and Cole Tretter. The quartet swam a time of 3:39.57, breaking the old 3:41.56 time set in 2009 by Evan Dorsam, Trey Dorsam, Cole Witte and Tyler Armstrong.
Vincennes Lincoln 93, Northeast Dubois 69: The Northeast Dubois girls nearly came away with a win Tuesday night, winning six events. One of those events was the 50 freestyle, in which junior Hailey Sweeney swam a time of 25.85, breaking the old 2008 record set by Northeast Dubois swim coach Kendra Friedman. Sweeney just edged her coach. The old record was 25.98.
