DUBOIS — Police jailed two individuals after a home search Wednesday in Dubois.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Pike County Probation Department with a home search at the 4201 N. Second St. residence of George W. Pierce III, 25, and Alyssa M. Seitz, 27, at 10 a.m. in Dubois.
Items located during the search included a digital scale and a white, powdery substance that Pierce identified as heroin, according to police.
Pierce and Seitz were booked into the Dubois County Security Center on preliminary charges that included Level 6 felony counts of possession of a narcotic drug and maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia.
The Dubois County Department of Child Services and Huntingburg Police Department assisted.
