Dubois man accused of domestic battery

DUBOIS — A report early Sunday of a domestic assault resulted in a Dubois man’s arrest.
Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputies responding to the 2:38 a.m. complaint report making contact with a female who had visible injury.
The suspect, Jeff L. Sherman, 50, 5143 N. State Road 545, Dubois, was located 12 hours later at his residence, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities booked Sherman into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:59 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony domestic battery and misdemeanor interference with the reporting of a crime.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
