DUBOIS — The Dubois Branch Library has activities scheduled for November.
The library will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day and Nov. 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving.
Keurig’s Korner will meet after school until 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays. A snack and drink will provided. Play games, do homework or just hang out. Middle and high school students can hang out together.
Technology help will be provided from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays. Help will be available with any wireless devices. No help is provided on Nov. 8 or 29.
The first Saturday book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Books, audio books and DVDs are available.
Adult Craft: Thanksgiving Centerpiece, will be made at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Create a candy dish centerpiece for the table using scrapbook supplies. Preregistration is required.
The Genealogy Workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Genealogy Room. Questions will be answered about research and working with family trees.
Elementary and Family Creativity Time: What I’m Thankful For Wreath will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, and from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Participants will make a colorful, leaf wreath to remind them what they are thankful for. All ages are welcome. Preregistration is required. Sign up for one class only.
A free Celtic music concert with Emily Ann Thompson will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Fiddle player and vocalist Emily Ann Thompson and guitarist and husband Kelly Thompson will give an energetic and passionalte performance. They both perform throughout the United States and abroad.
Little Explorers will meet from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Stories, crafts and free play fun will be available for for infants through age 6 and their caregivers. Preregistration is required.
Reindeer Meet and Greet with Silly Safari will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Dress up the kids and bring camera to take pictures with a real live reindeer.
The End-of-the-Month Book Club will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25. Discussion will be held on “A Peoples History of the United States” by Howard Zinn. Stop by the front desk to pick up a copy.
