DUBOIS — The Dubois Branch Library has activities scheduled for July.
Summer Learning: A Universe of Stories will be offered all this month. Register online through Beanstack at (www.jdcpl.us<http://www.jdcpl.us>) or at the library. Read and enter in for great prizes through July 19. Pick up a complete program booklet at the library.
A Geri-Fit class will be held from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Wednesdays, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. The class uses strength training for older adults. Preregister for each class.
Ageless chair yoga will be offered from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Fridays, July 5, 12, 19 and 26. A yoga class will be offered for those who cannot get on the floor. Preregister for each class.
Adult Craft: Acrylic Pour Painting on Tiles will be presented at 6 p.m. Monday, July 1. Preregistration is required.
Family Craft: Galaxy Crayon Art will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, and at 2:45 p.m. Friday, July 5. Preregistration is required.
Technology help will be provided from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays, July 5, 12 and 19. Help will be available with any wireless devices. People may also call to schedule a different time if they need to.
The first Saturday book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Books for all ages are available.
How to Use the Genealogy Room to Research Family Roots. Help will be provided at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 8. Preregistration is required.
The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Explorer Camp’s registration is closed. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 8 and 9
Family Craft: Notes In A Bottle is planned from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, and 2:45 p.m. Friday, July 12. Children under 8 must have a responsible adult with them. Preregistration is required.
Small Steps, Giant Leaps: Moon, Mars and Beyond will be featured at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Jasper Middle School auditorium. Everyone is welcome to hear National Aeronautics and Space Administration Solar System Ambassador Adrienne Provenzano give a presentation present a program on the past, present and future of NASA missions.
A Silly Safari live animal show will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, in the Dubois Middle School Multipurpose Room.
NASA Live Streaming Program: Explore Moon to Mars will be held Thursday, July 11. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, everyone is invited to go to the community room to watch the live program from NASA.
Free blood pressure checks will be given from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 12.
Cupcake cake decorating will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13. Join Catherine Bramlett, baker and owner, to learn how to create a cake out of cupcakes. Preregistration is required.
Teen/Tween Craft: Do-it-Yourself Cacti Rocks and Moon and Planter will be held at 4:15 p.m. Monday, July 15. Preregistration is required.
Adult Craft: Porch Tealight Luminaries will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16. Preregistration is required.
Family Craft: Do-it-Yourself board games will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, and 2:45 p.m. Friday, July 19. Preregistration is required.
Storyteller Mary Jo Huff will read a story at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, in the Dubois Middle School Multipurpose Room.
The summer learning program ends July 19. All paper entries and tickets must be turned in by 5 p.m. All Beanstack entries must also be recorded and tickets submitted on line by the end of the day.
The 50th anniversary of the moon landing celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Bring the whole family and drop by anytime to create and eat-your-own constellations and take part in crafts. The movie, “Apollo 11,” will be playing during this event.
Dance Off Evo Bots: Robotics for grades four through eight will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. Preregistration is required.
A free concert with the Major/Minor Duo will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 26.
Mike O’Bryan, master accordionist, and Ray Major, guitar and fiddle play, will play old-time, German-American dance music.
The End-of-the-Month Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 29. Discussion will be held on “Caleb’s Crossing” by Geraldine Brooks.
