DUBOIS — The Dubois Branch Library has activities scheduled for February.
The library will be closed Monday, Feb. 18, for Presidents’ Day.
My Big Person and Me for infants through age 6 with their caregivers will be held from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Stories and music will be featured. Preregistration is required.
The Keurig’s Korner for middle and high school students will meet every Tuesday after school until 5:30 p.m. A snack and drink will be provided.
Technology help will be provided from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays. Help will be available with any wireless devices.
The first Saturday book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Paperbacks are 25 cents; hardbacks, 50 cents; and CD’s and DVD’s, $1.
The genealogy workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the genealogy room. Questions will be answered about research and working with family trees.
Family Creativity Time: Puzzle Piece Hearts will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, and from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. All ages are welcome. Children younger than age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is required. Sign up for one class only.
Friends of the Dubois Library will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the community room. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Free blood pressure checks will be given from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15. The faith community nurses from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center will administer the shots.
The Land Beneath the Lake will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. Dana Reckelhoff, interpretive naturalist with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, will present the history of Patoka Lake and the towns that are at the bottom of the lake.
A Mad Batter cupcake decorating class will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Learn basic icing techniques for cupcakes with Catherine Bramlett from the Mad Batter Bakery. Preregistration is required.
The End-of-the-Month Book Club will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25. Discussion will be held on “First Ladies” by Margaret Truman. Squishy Circuits will be held from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. Build squishy, squooshy electric circuits with Play-Doh to make small lights glow! Ages 5 through 17 are invited. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is required.
