Dubois County Solid Waste District Ag Recycling Day

JASPER — The Dubois County Solid Waste District will hold the annual Agriculture Recycling Day on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 8 a.m. to noon. Farmers and land managers can bring their empty, triple rinsed pesticide containers to be recycled.

Drums of used oil will be accepted by pre-registration only for a 50-cent per gallon charge. The drums will be emptied and made available for pick-up at a later date. Those interested in recycling oil should contact the Solid Waste district. The office can be contacted by phone at 812-482-7865.

The event takes place at the district’s process center at 1103 South 350 West, just outside Jasper. Face coverings are required while on site and interacting with staff and other participants. More information can be found on the Solid Waste District’s Facebook page.
