The Dubois County Museum announces these programs.
Third Thursdays Free Admission Nights dates and new exhibits continue. The dates are:
August 19- Natural Resources exhibit opens
September 16- 4-H exhibit opens
October 21 - Spooky Streets Halloween trick or treating
November 18 - "Home Economics in Dubois County" exhibit opens
December 16 – Christmas
Ongoing at the museum are Tai Chi classes held every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30pm. New members are always welcome.
Scheduled events also planned that you may wish to make note of in addition to the Free Nights are:
"Oh Baby, Growing up in Dubois County" - featuring items from early childhood – set up in temporary display area till October
Saturday, September 11-Archaeology Day, 10 a.m. – noon EDT. Featuring locally collected artifacts, a discussion on stone tools and weapons, and artifact identification by an archaeologist
Saturday, October 9 Trivia night at the Museum. Fun Fundraiser to raise money for the museum. Get a team together today!
Saturday, October 16, 1:00 p.m., Poet and native son Norbert Kraft reads
Thursday, November 18- Sunday, Jan 9th Festival of Trees Community Christmas Trees on display
Memberships available for the year. Memberships grant free admission to museum. Good for one year after date of purchase.
