Dubois Branch Library August Events

Tuesday, Aug 3 from 6-8 p.m. End of the Summer Skate Party at the Skate Palace in Jasper for all those who completed their Summer Learning Reading Challenge.   You must have a signed waiver found on the back of your ticket and pay $2.50 for skate rental if needed.  There will be crafts and food.  

Wednesday, Aug 4 at 10:30 a.m.  – Storytime with a Purpose with the staff of Crisis Connection.  Learn about kindness through a story, craft and activity. PreK-elementary.   Must pre-register

Wednesday, Aug 4 at 6:00 p.m. Family Craft: Watercolor bookmarks.   Must Pre-register.

Friday, Aug. 6 at 2:45 p.m.  Family Craft:  Watercolor bookmarks. Must pre-register.

Monday, Aug 9 at 6 p.m. Adult Craft: Forest Silhouette canvas painting.  Must pre-register

Wednesday, Aug 11 at 6 p.m. Kids Canvas Painting for ages 5 to 11.  Must pre-register.

Friday, Aug 13 Library closed in the morning.  Opened from 1 – 5 p.m.

Monday, Aug 16 at 7 p.m.   Friends of the Dubois Library meeting.  Everyone is welcomed.

Wednesday, Aug 18 at 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Memorial Hospital presents “Strategies to Maintain/Improve Your Mental Health” Learn more about the COVID-9 impact on mental health, how to recognize warning signs in friends and loved ones, as well as various coping skills to move you in a forward direction, and feeling mentally strong.”

Audio Book/DVD/CD Sale Aug. 19 – 21  Thurs 10-6, Fri 10-5, Sat. 10-1 

Wednesday, Aug 25 at 6 p.m. Teen Canvas Painting for ages 12-18. Must pre-register

Monday, Aug 30 at 6:30 End of the Month Book Club. Discussing “The Yellow House” by Patricia Falve
