Drug charges follow traffic stop

JASPER — Police arrested the driver in a Friday night traffic stop and accused her of drug offenses.

The Jasper Police Department stopped a 2007 Ford driven by Jessica J. Fulkerson, 25, 709 E. First St., Huntingburg, at 8:28 p.m. in the 600 block of Bartley Street because Fulkerson allegedly disregarded a stop sign at Eighth and St. John streets.

Police allege Fulkerson was in possession of several different narcotics, prescription pills, needles and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities booked Fulkerson into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:42 p.m. on preliminary Level 6 felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, illegal possession of legend (prescription) drugs and unlawful possession of a syringe, plus preliminary misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
