JASPER — Police made a drug arrest Wednesday night after being called to the report of a domestic dispute.
Jasper Police Department officers responded to Jasper’s north side at 8:52 p.m. when a concerned citizen reported that a male and a female in a vehicle were yelling at each other. The caller said the female driver was honking the horn and yelling something that made the caller think she could be in jeopardy.
Police located the vehicle and its occupants in the 3700 block of Newton Street. When the driver, Annie M. Alcorn, 19, English, was looking in her purse for identification, police said, an officer saw a marijuana grinder in the bag.
After a search of the vehicle, officers reported locating a smoking pipe with marijuana residue, marijuana and methamphetamine.
Authorities booked Alcorn into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:17 p.m. on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony methamphetamine possession and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
