From Local Sources
JASPER — One driver was injured and another ticketed in a three-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in the 1500 block of Newton Street.
Connie K. Nass, Huntingburg, was southbound on Newton Street in a 2017 Toyota SUV at the time of the 2:59 p.m. accident, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Nass stopped for traffic and, when she did, her Toyota was rear-ended by a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Amber N. Bradley, Odon, police said.
The collision then forced Nass’ Toyota to collide with a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by Daniel J. Fuhs, Jasper, who was stopped in front of the SUV.
Nass complained of neck pain and was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, according to police. A hospital spokeswoman said she was treated and released.
Damage was estimated at $4,000 to the Nass Toyota and $2,000 to the Bradley Pontiac. Police said the Fuhs truck did not appear to have accident damage.
Police cited Bradley for following too closely and for not having valid insurance.
