HUNTINGBURG — Fatigue was reported as a factor in a single-vehicle accident just east of Huntingburg early Sunday.
Aaron J. Lubbehusen, 19, Huntingburg, was westbound on State Road 64 in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado when the 1:21 a.m. mishap occurred just west of County Road 75W, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s department said Lubbehusen fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in the truck going into a ditch on the south side of the highway and striking trees.
Lubbehusen avoided injury but damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
A Berg’s Garage wrecker assisted.
