JASPER — One motorist was ticketed after a car-versus-SUV collision Monday afternoon on Jasper’s north side.
Brenda K. Marcum, 63, Jasper, was stopped at Mannheim Road and Baden Strasse in a 2006 Pontiac G6 at the time of the 4:50 p.m. mishap, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Marcum said she looked both ways and thought the intersection was clear but police said she pulled into the path of a 2018 GMC Terrain driven by Jena M. Hammonds, 33, of Jasper.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Hammonds GMC and $1,500 to the Marcum Pontiac.
An officer cited Marcum for failure to yield the right of way.
