FERDINAND — One driver was ticketed after a car-versus-semi accident Thursday in Ferdinand.
Jonatan Navarro Dubon of Huntingburg was westbound on Third Street in a 2009 Honda Civic when the 6:30 a.m. accident occurred at Industrial Park Road, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police said Navarro Dubon traveled west through the intersection and did not see a northbound semi driven by Patrick Purdy of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Both vehicles were disabled by the collision that occurred.
Police said a KARS wrecker towed the Honda and a Ruxer Ford wrecker took the semi from the scene.
A Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services ambulance responded but police said both drivers refused treatment.
An officer cited Navarro Dubon for failure to yield the right of way.
