FERDINAND — One driver was cited after pickup trucks collided Monday northeast of Ferdinand.
Jennifer M. Andrews, 47, St. Anthony, was southbound on Club Road in a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche when the 2:54 p.m. accident occurred north of County Road 725S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Andrews Avalanche traveled off the west side of the roadway about 3 feet. Andrews over-corrected, sending the truck back onto the roadway and left of center where it struck a northbound 2006 Chevrolet 2500 series crew cab truck driven by Gregory L. Wehr, 67, Huntingburg.
After the collision, the Avalanche spun and stopped facing mostly north in the southbound lane. The Wehr truck was pushed off the east side of the road where it stopped.
Total damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000. Both vehicles were towed by a Berg’s Garage wrecker.
The Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department and Ferdinand Police Department also assisted.
A deputy cited Andrews for driving left of center.
