HUNTINGBURG — A Vanderburgh County motorist was medically checked at the scene after a midday rollover accident Friday south of Huntingburg.
Chad Hartmann, 46, Evansville, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2004 Toyota RAV4 when the 11:44 a.m. accident occurred just east of County Road 1000S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Hartmann Toyota left the east side of the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a concrete structure and overturning as it went down an embankment.
Air bags deployed but Hartmann suffered only minor injury, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash was thought to have totaled the Toyota.
St. Henry Volunteer Fire Department first responders, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a KARS wrecker assisted.
