JASPER — The Dubois County Health Department will offer more opportunities to take advantage of its drive-thru flu clinics for individuals 12 years of age and older. Anyone under the age of 12 must come inside the health department to receive their vaccine. The flu vaccine is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurances.
The drive-thru flu clinic dates are 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30; 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6; and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20.
Follow the signs to the department's newly constructed drive-thru at 1187 S. Saint Charles St. in Jasper. Participants are asked to approach the health department from the north side. The best method will be U.S. 231 to Division Road and then south on Saint Charles Street. Please have your ID and Medicare/insurance cards available.
The health department also offers high dose and standard flu shots from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No appointment is needed.
