Dorothy Marie Traylor, 94, Columbus
September 17, 2020Dorothy Marie Traylor, met the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the age of 94, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

She was born on December 8, 1925, in Jasper, Indiana, to the late Edwin and Rose Stallman. Dorothy was the eldest daughter of five siblings. She married Robert C. Traylor on May 8, 1948, in Jasper and they remained married until his death in 2003, just a few days shy of their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary.
Dorothy was a military wife and served her family and friends tirelessly with love and devotion.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Gregory A. Traylor of Columbus, and Richard V. (Tammy) Traylor of Easton, PA; daughters, Connie L. Jackson of Columbus, and Sherry (Steve) Traylor of Shelbyville; brother, James (Ruth) Stallman of Jasper; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who were never far from her thoughts.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stallman; and her brother and sister who died in infancy, John and Benigna Stallman.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 18, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus, Indiana. A visitation will also be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home North Chapel, in Jasper, Indiana, with a prayer service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Traylor Union Church Cemetery in Otwell, Indiana.
