Doris Jean Witte, 88, Evansville
October 13, 2020Doris Jean Witte, 88, of Evansville, IN. formerly of Dale, IN. died on October 11, 2020 at Woodlands Nursing Home in Newburgh, IN.

Jean was born in Scottsville, KY. on Sept. 7, 1932, raised in Clearwater, Florida and moved to Dale in 1950, where she married her husband Richard (Gail) Witte who preceded her in death in 2009.
Gail and Jean had three Children Vikki (Mike) Reiter of New Albany, IN., Rick (Regina) Witte of Evansville, IN. and Sarah (Kenny) Neighbors of Santa Claus, IN., 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Jean was quite active in her community with the PTA, Band Boosters and was one of the original members of the Dale Fall Festival Steering Committee. She was formerly a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Boston, IN. and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Evansville, IN. She was currently a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, IN.
Jean was known for her great love for music, her vibrant personality as well as her kind and compassionate spirit. She will be greatly missed.
Friends may call on Thursday October 15, 2020 from 10 AM CDT till 12 NOON CDT at the Christian Fellowship Church at 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville IN 47725
Funeral Services are planned for Thursday October 15, 2020 at 12 NOON CST at the Christian Fellowship Church at 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville IN 47725. Private burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery.
