Donations sought for Toys for Tots

The Southern Indiana Leatherneck Detachment of the local Marine Corps League is again conducting the Toys for Tots campaign. Toys that are collected will go to disadvantaged children in the five counties surrounding and including Dubois County.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the following locations:

Jasper: Big Lots, Dollar General (both locations), Rural King, Ubelhor Toyota, American Legion Post 147, The Sun Station, Doodlebug, Holiday Foods, German American Insurance on Third Avenue.

Huntingburg: Dollar General, North and South, Family Dollar, Dr. Jenna Gogel with Optimal Performance Chiropractic.

Ferdinand: Dollar General, Dr. Bruce Nonte and Holiday Foods.

Birdseye: Family Dollar, Birdseye Liquors and Patoka Marina.

French Lick: American Legion, Dollar General and CVS.

Santa Claus: Christmas Lake Village and Dollar General.

Petersburg: Dollar General (both locations), Glezen Revival Center and Pike County Courthouse Rotunda.

Drop boxes will be deployed starting November 19 throughout those counties. They will be picked up periodically and transported to a collection sight for dispersal. The last date for pick up will be Dec. 14. Those wishing to participate are asked to do so prior to the last pick-up.

Cash donations may be made by visiting the website (www.sildmarine.com) or look for Toys for Tots money boxes located at various places around the counties. Be on the lookout for them at places like all the “Circle A’s,” local Casey’s, the Marathon stations, Advanced Auto, North Side Citgo and others.

Participation by way of a monetary donation will be accepted. Make checks made payable to Toys for Tots and mailed to Marine Corps League c/o TFT, P.O. Box 184, Jasper IN 47547-0184.
