Donald L. ‘Donnie’ Blessinger, 79, Jasper
May 5, 2020Donald L. “Donnie” Blessinger, 79, of Jasper, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Donnie was born in on May 24, 1940, to Harry and Leona (Mundy) Blessinger. He married Mary Lou Artmeier on July 7, 1962, in Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2009.
Donnie was a 1958 graduate of Jasper High School.
He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1963-1965.
He worked at Chesapeake Packing Company in St. Anthony for 30 years.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #147.
Donnie enjoyed playing cards and watching Indiana University basketball.
Surviving are one sister, Doris Voelkel, Dubois; one brother, Eugene (Verena) Blessinger, Jasper; five nieces, Carla Durcholz, Sharon Brames and companion, Bob Brown, and Donna (Michael) Haase, all of Jasper, Rhonda Boehm, St. Henry, and Sara (Jason) Hamm, St. Johns, Florida; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews
Preceding him in death besides his wife, are one sister, Ruth Ann Blessinger; and one brother-in-law, Wesley Voelkel.
Private funeral services will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes in Jasper, with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
