Donald L. ‘Don’ Bieker, 84, St. Anthony
May 6, 2020Donald L. “Don” Bieker, 84, of St. Anthony, passed away at 5:12 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Don was born in St. Anthony on January 24, 1936, to Oscar and Viola (Lubbers) Bieker.
He owned his own construction company, Don Bieker Construction, and was a sergeant on the Huntingburg Police Department.
He was a charter member of the St. Anthony Fire Department, and was instrumental in building the first St. Anthony Fire Truck.
Don enjoyed working and spending time with his family.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna (James) Carie, Huntingburg, Darlinda (Lee) Petry, Winslow, and Dennifer (Brian Angerer) Bieker, Huntingburg; two sons, Donnie Bieker, Huntingburg, and Doug (Millie) Bieker, Huntingburg; 13 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Petry, Ferdinand, Patty Ahrens, St. Anthony, and Sharon (Floyd) Jones, Ireland; and three brothers, Bob (Henrietta) Bieker, Jasper, Richard (Kathy) Bieker, Dover, Delaware, and Mark (Sherry) Bieker, Celestine.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Oscar and John Bieker.
Private funeral services will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes in Jasper, with burial at St. Anthony Cemetery, in St. Anthony.
