Donald G. Greattinger, 94, Elkhorn, Wis.
November 24, 2020Donald G. Greattinger, 94 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha, WI.

He was born May 26, 1926 in South Milwaukee, WI, the son to the late George and Clara (Wiecke) Greattinger. Don served in the United States Navy during WWII.
He was united in marriage to Virginia Janusiak on August 28, 1948. Don was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland, IN and St. Peter's Catholic Church in East Troy, WI.
He enjoyed puzzles and playing cards. Don also loved to be outdoors working in his yard. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Don was known to his family and friends for his great sense of humor, generosity and kindness to all.
Don is survived by his four children; Diane (Gary) Hildenbrand of IN, Donald (Gail) Greattinger Jr. of IN, Daryl (Shelly) Greattinger of KY and Debra (Glen) Dittmar of WI, nine grandchildren; Jason (Stacey) Hildenbrand, Leslie (Dean) Jerger, Jamie (Tracy) Rohrscherb, Sarah Hall, Harmony Forest, Windy Guffey, Lindsay, Aaron and Austin Greattinger, Ashley (Rob) Galassi and Evan (Rachel) Dittmar, and thirteen great-grandchildren; Layla, Natalie, Kate, Leah, Alex, Zachary, Jake, Griffen, Sidney, Isabella, Ethan, Gweneth Grace and Hattie Rose. Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents and brother, Lawrence Greattinger.
Private Graveside Service with Military Honors by the VFW Post #673 will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Jasper, IN. Celebration of Don's life will be held at a later date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church 2829 N 500 W, Jasper, IN 47546 or to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 3001 Elm St. East Troy, WI 53120.
