Domestic dispute report culminates with arrest

JASPER — A report of a domestic dispute late Saturday night culminated with a man’s arrest.

Jasper Police Department officers were dispatched to a city apartment complex at 11:50 p.m. and made contact with a female victim with a visible injury.

When he returned to the location, police said, Nathanael P. Johnson, 36, 675 Giesler Road, was taken into custody on preliminary misdemeanor counts of domestic battery, interference with reporting of a crime and resisting law enforcement.

Police said a cellphone was broken during the domestic incident.

Authorities booked Johnson into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:45 a.m.
