HUNTINGBURG — Two individuals went to jail Wednesday afternoon after the report of a domestic disturbance in the area.

Police determined the two individuals they encountered, William A. Artiga Jr., 29, 724 W. Third St., Huntingburg, and Diana Gandarilla, 41, Long Beach, California, had been drinking, with blood alcohol contents that test .14 percent and .13 percent, respectively.
The investigation also determined that Gandarilla was the protected person in an active protective order barring Artiga with contacting her.
Authorities booked Artiga into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:43 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of public intoxication and invasion of privacy.
Gandarilla was arrested and jailed at 2:05 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of public intoxication.
