Dine, dance celebrates Marine Corps birthday

The formal Marine Corps birthday ball dine and dance will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Huntingburg Event Center. The public and veterans from other branches of the military are invited to attend. Wear a uniform, if possible.

The 244th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps (1775-2019) will be celebrated. Marines, Navy Corpsmen and chaplains all over the world will be celebrating the event.

Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. with the ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. A guest speaker will talk after the ceremony. A dinner and dance will follow the birthday celebration.

Cost is $40 per person. Reservations must be turned in by Oct. 23. Register online by going to www.sildmarines.com. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
