Dina (Trainor) Bare, 82, of Calhoun, Illinois, passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois.
Dina was born on March 13, 1936, in Xenia, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Maude (Dyer) Trainor. She later married Gerald Bare on July 5, 1956 in Shawneetown, Illinois. He survives.
She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and also worked as the Activity Director at a nursing home in West Salem, Illinois. She attended Calhoun Christian Church.
She also enjoyed sewing, working on crafts, helping on the farm and spending time with her grandkids. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Dina is survived by her husband Gerald Bare of Calhoun; son Russell Mowry of Olney; two daughters Georgianna Judy (Ray) of Dale, and Cassie Bare of Vincennes; sister Sherry Boxley (Marc) of Peoria, Arizona; four grandchildren, Kristen Neathery, Jordan Judy, Cassandra Mowry and Ashley Mowry; and six great-grandchildren Sophia Neathery, Greyson Neathery, Mikayla Castro, Xavier Mowry, Ariana Mowry, and Cruz Mowry.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Maude Trainor and sister Georgia Sechrest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Tri-State Alzheimer’s Association or Calhoun Christian Church.
Celebration of Life service will be noon on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Pastor Mike Baker will be officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Service will be casual dress.
