Dietician to speak at learning lunchMay 26, 2020
JASPER — Home Instead Senior Care is offering a Healthy Learning Lunch program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1971 State Road 56.
Kari Johannemann, dietician and certified diabetes educator at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, will give a presentation on “The Blue Zone ... Secrets from the World’s Healthiest People.”
Johannemann completed her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics at Purdue University and completed a dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The free program offers the public an opportunity to hear an educational topic, while being served a complimentary lunch.
Sponsors of the program are Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Home Instead Senior Center and Shiloh United Methodist Church. A door prize and lunch are included. Complimentary lunch will be courtesy of Scenic Hills.
All CDC guidelines regarding social distancing will be implemented.
