Dennis L. Wilz, 76, of Jasper, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at home.
Dennis was born in Jasper on January 30, 1944, to John and Helen (Giesler) Wilz. He married Sue Ann Hedinger on July 11, 1970, in St. Meinrad Catholic Church in St. Meinrad.
He worked at Jasper Cabinet for 40 years and then retired from Jasper Chair, where he had worked for many years.
Dennis was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
He loved sports, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Wilz, Jasper; one son, Brian Wilz, Avon; one daughter, April Lee, Selvin; two sisters, Mary (James) Spellmeyer and Ann Ward, both of Jasper; and two brothers, Edward (Linda) Wilz and Tom (Sharon) Wilz, both of Jasper.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis L. Wilz will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial at a later date.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday June 28, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper or to a favorite charity.
