Dennis Dale Heaton, 80, Jasper
September 29, 2020Dennis Dale Heaton, age 80, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at home.

Dennis was born in Toccoa, Georgia, on October 25, 1939, to James and Elsie (Lindsey) Heaton. He married Sharon Hall on October 14, 1959, in Gentryville, Indiana.
Dennis was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Military Police.
He worked for Elmer Buchta Trucking in the House Moving Division, and in paving construction for J.H. Rudolph.
He was a member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, pitching horseshoes, camping, singing, country music, and sports, especially, Indianapolis Colts football, Indiana University basketball, and NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Heaton, Jasper, IN, two daughters, Yvonne (Gerald) Engelbrecht, Jasper, IN, Vicki (Cory) Henke, Jasper, IN, Randy (Raina) Heaton, Villa Rica, GA, Dean (Jennifer) Heaton, Jasper, IN, Brian Heaton, Jasper, IN, and Eric (Lea) Heaton, Spurgeon, IN, 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are one sister, Hazel Gabriel, and four brothers, Harold, James, Ray, and Billy Heaton.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
